El III Festival de Cine Global Dominicano se despide a ritmo de música popular(Santo Domingo, January 26, 2010) – As their selection process gets underway, the organizing team of the Dominican Global Film Festival (DRGFF) made an important visit to the renowned Sundance Film Festival as one of many stops along the way in their search for great movies.

Asuncion Sanz, Semiramis de Miranda and Yamile Eusebio attended the 26th annual Sundance Film Festival, January 21-31, in Park City and Salt Lake City, Utah.

As part of the DRGFF’s executive team, Sanz, De Miranda and  Eusebio operated under an intensive schedule that included film and documentary viewings as well as attending meetings and gatherings in which they shared impressions and information with organizers of other film festivals.

This year, festival representatives from the Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE) will attend the screening of more than 60 films and documentaries as they travel to the most important film festivals around the world. Of these, the best films will be selected to be shown at the IV edition of the Dominican Global Film Festival, to be held from November 18 -23, 2010.

In addition, through the DRGFF webpage, festival organizers are providing various educational activities offered by the Sundance Film Festival as part of its educational agenda.
